Rensselaer - William A. Sickles, 67, of Rensselaer, New York passed away on June 12, 2018. He was a graduate of Watervliet High School, Class of "69. He retired from his business, Black Beauty Asphalt and Seal Coating in 2010. He is predeceased by his father William F. Sickles and his mother Jennie (Gregory) Sickles; and husband of the late Mary Ann Loonan. Survivors include his fiancée, Noreen Konieczny, Aunt Sophie Sherman, Sister Christine DeCrescenzo, and the sisters-in-law Patricia Testo and Erin Driggs, along numerous relatives, the Biondos, Gregorys, Marshalls, Riders and McGuires families, as well numerous friends and neighbors he considered family. He will be greatly missed. He loved to cook, fish, hunt, entertain and spend his winters in Florida. The family would like to thank the staff at Albany Memorial Hospital and Rensselaer Co. Hospice. In lieu of flowers please donate to Rensselaer Co. Hospice. Visitation hours will be held at W. J. Lyons Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 4 PM - 7 PM. Prayers at 6:30 PM.
