Rensselaer-June A. Stark, age 79 of Rensselaer passed away suddenly in her home on Saturday, February 24th, 2018. She was born in Albany and lived in Rensselaer throughout her life. June graduated from Van Rensselaer High School in 1956. For a short time following graduation, she worked in the insurance industry before beginning a career in administrative positions with the Rensselaer City School district, retiring in 1994. June was pre-deceased by her husband James W. Stark after 54 years of marriage. They enjoyed camping and traveling in their motorhome together. Mother of James W. Stark III (Kileen) of Rotterdam and Jeffrey W. Stark (Marie) of Malta. Grandmother of Leah (Raymond) Gordon, Michael Stark, Amanda (Sage) D'Aprile, Matthew Stark and Alicia Stark. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Thursday evening at 7 PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 4-7 PM. Interment will be held in Bloomingrove Cemetery Friday at 10 AM.
