Rensselaer - Paul W. Harrington, 66 of Rensselaer, NY passed away on February 15, 2018 after a courageous battle from a lengthy illness. Paul provided for his family by working at BASF in the city of Rensselaer for 27 years, followed by 14 years for NYS Department of Financial Services. He served as a Warden at the Church of the Redeemer in Rensselaer where he had attended. He was a life member of the Rensselaer PTA and in recent months had just started to enjoy participating in the drama club at The Eastwyck Village. He is survived by his wife of 44 years Nancy A. Harrington. Left to honor his memory are his children, Jodi (Wally) Miller, Janice M. Harrington, Jessica (David) Jones, and Joel (Tony) Harrington; his grandson, Michael Paul Jones. Additional survivors include his sister Lois (Thomas) Maychack, sister in law Marcia Harrington and his sister Gail (Seb) Ranalli. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Paul was predeceased by his parents James and Mildred Harrington and his brother James Harrington. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer Monday, February 19, 2018 at 10:00am and 11am at the Church of the Redeemer, 1249 Third St., Rensselaer where the Funeral Mass will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Sunday, from 2 - 5pm. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
