Obituary of Isabella Mancini

Rensselaer- Isabella Mancini age 76 of Rensselaer passed away on Monday November 6, 2017. She was born in Albany on April 4, 1941 and grew up in the South End of Albany attending St. John's Parish Grade School and Cardinal McCloskey High School. She has been a resident of the Rensselaer Community for over 50 years. Isabella was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, raising her 5 children, 6 grandchildren and many others through out the years, loving them like her own. Mrs. Mancini was a communicant of St. Joseph's Parish Rensselaer for 52 years, over 40 year member of the Italian American Community Center on Washington Avenue Ext. Albany where she was an active member and enjoyed serving on many committees, including Women's Bocce League and loved attending dinner dances, picnics and spending holidays with her friends and family. Isabella loved baking her Italian Cookies for family and friends, embroidery, traveling, bingo, and loved being surrounded and spending time with her adoring grandchildren, cherished time spent with her children, her siblings, her loving nieces, nephews and all extended family. Also enjoyed many years with the ladies of the Eastland Park Coffee Clutch.
Wife of Nick Mancini whom she married on May 22, 1960 at St. Anthony's Church in Albany. Daughter of the late Pasquale and Concetta Mucci. Mother of Connie (Dan) Zobre, Michael (Geri) Mancini, Theresa Smith, Lisa (Edward) Grant and Linda DeCrescenzo. Sister of Anna Keneston (the late Millard Keneston) and the late Phillip Mucci (Angeliana), Anthony Mucci (Mary). Grandmother of Amy and Jason Zobre, Audrey and Kerri Smith and Thomas and Emma DeCrescenzo. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday morning at 10:00. All are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Thursday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
