I was sad to learn of Scott’s passing. Although it has been many years since we worked together at IGC, I have wonderful memories of his kindness and humor. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. The world was richer for him being in it and his loss will be felt by all those who were lucky enough to be lit up by his presence.

Dear Scott, I keep coming back to this page not really knowing what to say. I will always remember you as the funny, helpful guy who brought me Wendy's and someone I rode to the bank with just to get out of the office. You were one of the people who made my first real job entertaining. I'm pretty sure you're not reading this but if you are mention it when I see you. We'll laugh about it when it's time. Love and light to your family and closest friends - now & always. PS Captcha just asked me what 29+7 is just to prove I'm a human...hehehe

Owens! My deepest condolences to your family, friends and loved ones. Mike Betts you have to know how much he respected you. Jim even though we were co-workers, he talked about you immensely. Think you helped with his bamboo floors, how’d that Roomba work on them? Thank you for your humor and wit (at times very raw), sharing your travel tales to crazy destinations and babysitting my dog when I was out of town. Promise me you’ll hang with Dutch Rogers in Heaven!

Jinshu and Ailida I am sure he will be your guardian angel until you meet again in heaven. He sure fought the fight and you helped him enjoy his time here on earth. Our condolences to the entire family.

I am so very sorry for the loss of Scott. I had the pleasure to meet Scott and Jinshu many times at All Saints. I was also blessed to have taught Ailida for many years and to work under Sr. Mary Ellen. May Scott be at peace and may the Lord provide comfort to all those who loved him.

Scott aka (dx) aka Hooptattoo - anytime I think of any of the following, I'll think of you and I'm going to smile, cry, or both: ear candling, Oxyclean, Roombas, homemade ice cream, Fight Club v The Matrix, Type O, bobbleheads, and reciting Rage Against the Machine lyrics as spontaneous slam poetry. I hope that you knew what a joy you brought to anyone who was lucky enough to call you friend. I'll take what you taught me forward - always.

Scotty ("Daddy"), Well, what can I say? I never thought I'd be writing this. I'll always cherish the time that we worked together and the wonderful friend that I made. We had a lot of fun at TW. I'll never forget the first lunch that we had or you trying to convince me to do ear candling. Though I moved away, I always tried to keep in touch. When I learned that you were sick, I would check in and you would tell me "Daddy's fine". :) You were so selfless and cared so much about others. I always admired that about you. I know you are at peace now and watching over Jinshu and Diddy. And I know I will see you again someday. I may even do the ear candling when I see you, but I doubt it. :) Until we meet again Scotty... Hoff

Scott,"Daddy" I lost my best friend... the one who was ALWAYS there for me. No matter what was going on with you, you always managed to say "don't worry about me, I'm here for you" Everything I took for granted with you is now gone and I will miss it terribly. Soccer, lunches, waiting for our girls to be done with gymnastics, camping, poker nights, baseball games... you name it, I'm going to miss it. You made me a better person, you counseled my marriage and I am forever grateful what you did for me, stephen, Emily, and Alexa.. until we meet again Daddy! We love you and what comforts me now is that you aren't in pain anymore.

Scott or As you directed me to call you "Big Pun". I have 20 + years of memories with you. If I listed all of these they would fill a book. You pushed people past there comfort level and made them better for it. Your undeniable self assurance rubbed off all that you touched. I heard of your passing and am heartbroken. I am sorry I didn't know that you had been sick and didn't in someway reach out to you in your time of need. You were always there for everyone else. Thank you for all of my memories I will keep them close to my heart. You are going to be missed. MY prayers for your family for peace and strength. Till we meet again. Moak

Scott, you’re one of a few of my closest lifelong friends. I will miss you terribly, but will remember all the things you brought to my life. You made me a better person than I otherwise would have been. I don’t think there is anything more that person can give someone. You did it effortlessly, by just being you.
