Donald D. Warner, 86, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023 at his residence. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Floyd and Marie (Deyo) Warner. Donald was in the US Army National Guard and was employed as a Quality Control Specialist at the Watervliet Arsenal, retiring there after 39 years of service. He enjoyed golfing, casinos, Myrtle Beach and Branson, Missouri.

 

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Jacqueline (Medeiros) Warner, six children, Susan Warner, Cathy (Bernie) Borelli, Patti (Chuck) Bentley, Robert (Susan) Wood, Stephen (Jillian) Wood and Michael Bateman; eleven grandchildren, Shannon, Corey, Crystal, Joe, Kyle, Kiera, Taylor, Dylan, Zoe, Evan and Alyssa and six great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings Raymond Warner and Donna Smith.

 

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday August 23, 2023, from 5pm-7pm to the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at 11am in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rensselaer. Those wishing to attend the committal service at the cemetery are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30am.
