Obituary of Frances J. Keneston

Rensselaer- Frances J. Keneston, age 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 26, 2023. She was the daughter of Manual and Rosa (Bubonia) Taibo.

Frances attended the Vincentian Institute in Albany and later went on to work at the NYS Department of Motor Vehicle.

Frances will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.  In her younger years, she enjoyed horseback riding and in her later years, loved watching game shows. She also had a great love of animals, especially cats.

She is survived by her beloved children Bernadette (Steve) Wilsey, Dolores (Loren) Smith, James (Francine) Keneston, and Matthew Keneston. She will be greatly missed by her adored grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Deyette, Jessica (Derek) Gervasio, David (Sara) Smith, Andrew (Mitch) Smith, Jeffrey Smith, Emily Keneston, and her great grandchildren, Austin Deyette and Alina Deyette, Luca Gervasio, Michael Smith and Graciella Smith. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Frances is predeceased by her husband James and her siblings, Mary Lumley and Joseph Taibo.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 from 3-6pm at the W.J. Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer NY. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at 10am at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick street, in Rensselaer. Burial will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
