Ernie served his country on the USS Independence. Ernie was a loyal friend, father and grandfather. You could often find him helping one of his many family members, spending time at camp with his family, or in his print shop. Ernie was a dedicated worker, who led by example. He put pride in everything he produced and never let the challenges of life get in the way of his ability to do his job well. As a grandfather to nine grandchildren, he always found a way to make them each feel special, either with nicknames, or inside jokes. Ernie’s legacy will live on in all of the lives that he touched. He will be dearly missed.
We ask that you join us in celebrating his remarkable life with a gathering of friends and family for visitation and remembrance on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 10:00-11:30am at the Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave Rensselaer, NY 12144.
