East Greenbush- Patricia A Daoust, age 85, of East Greenbush passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at home surrounded by her loved ones.  Patricia was born in Albany and resided in East Greenbush since 1971. She was also a part time resident of Bayonet Point, Fla. from 2001 to 2010. She attended St. John's Academy in Albany, NY.  She was also a patron of Holy Spirit Church.  Pat was a co-owner and operator of Ernie's Lunch and was employed by Fuller & O’Brien and the Bame Agency.  She spent many years as a loving & caring homemaker to her entire family and was known for her famous Manhattan Clam Chowder.  After retirement she spent countless hours with her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Predeceased by her cherished husband Ernest Daoust Sr. of 55 years and survived by loving children, Deb (Frank) DiMartino, Carolyn (Kent) Gracey and Ernest (Rene Brock) Daoust; grandchildren, Chantua DiMartino, Justin (Rheannon) DiMartino, Deneiges Murro, Emilio Murro, Julie Alexander, Tyler Daoust, Karleigh Daoust and the late Jordyn Daoust; great-grandchildren, Carter Wasula, Lucas Murro, Channon DiMartino, Chessa DiMartino, Maddux Murro and Maverick Daoust and the late Cecila DiMartino; Also survived by many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, great-grand nieces and great-grand nephews. The family would like to extend their gratitude and love to Shirley Berben for her endless love and devotion to her Aunt Pat.  Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer (Please note time change) Wednesday morning at 8:00AM and 10:00AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit, East Greenbush where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 4-7PM. Interment will be held at a later date in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205 or the American Cancer Society at Donate | American Cancer Society.
