Wynantskill- Janice Mary Paquin (Wayand) 76, of Wynantskill passed away peacefully at Samaritan Hospital on February 26, 2023.

Janice was born and raised in Morris, NY to the late Leon A. and Harriet Wayand.  After graduating from Morris Central School in 1964, Janice spent time in Morrisville, NY where she attended college for business.  She then moved to Albany in 1968 where she met her husband, Henry. Janice and Henry were married on June 20, 1970, and then moved to Wynantskill.

Janice then started working at the Auto Dealer Insurance Company in Albany and was there for over 14 years.  She then decided to babysit children in her home so she could stay home to raise her daughter Sherri for the next ten years.  Janice loved children and when she went back to work, she got a job at Tutor Time in East Greenbush and worked there until she retired.

She also loved her church, the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church in Troy, which she belonged to since 1980.

Janice is survived by her husband of 52 years, Henry A. Paquin; her daughter Sherri Capparello (Nick); her granddaughter Tia DiDonna; her sister Katherine O’Connor (Robert) and her brother Andrew Wayand.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with close family and friends. If you would like to make a donation in Janice’s name, please donate to the Pawling Avenue United Methodist Church, 520 Pawling Avenue, Troy, NY 12180.
