Obituary of Shirley M. Beebe

Rensselaer- Shirley M. Beebe, age 87 , passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 4, 1935, and was the daughter of Joseph and Marion (Brady) Kretzler.  

Shirley worked for the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles, until 2003, retiring after 25 years of service. She loved playing bingo, going to the casino, and spending time with her Rensselaer Senior Center family.

Shirley will be greatly missed and is survived by her adoring daughters Marion Terry (Thomas) Verdi, Anne Beebe, and Robin (Edward) Duell; her beloved sons Raymond Beebe, and David (Terri) Beebe; her brother Joseph Michael Kretzler, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Along with her parents Shirley is predeceased by her husband Robert L. Beebe, son Robert J. Beebe, sister Patricia Eaton, and brother John Kretzler.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2023 at 1:30pm at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Herrick Street, in Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 11:00am-1:00pm, at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer.

Interment will follow in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
