Obituary of Kevin P. O'Brien

Kevin O’Brien, 72 of Loudonville, passed away after a short illness on November 27, 2022. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Kevin was born in Albany attending St. James School grammar school and Cardinal McCloskey High School. He also received an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences from Junior College of Albany. 

He was the son of the late Robert O’Brien and Eileen Walsh O’Brien.  Kevin is survived by his partner Sharon Cady, brother Bob (Kathy) O’Brien, and nephews Matt and Casey (Sarah) O’Brien.

Kevin had a tremendous interest in cars his entire life and was an accomplished auto mechanic. He was the owner and operator of J&K Garage for the past 45 years, working until his recent illness.

He enjoyed vacationing at Cape Cod, participating in various car shows, and dining at his favorite restaurants.

A funeral service will be held at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave. Rensselaer, on Friday Dec. 2 at 1:00 p.m.  Relatives and friends are invited to call prior to the service from 11a.m. to 1 p.m.  Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
