Obituary of Albert E. DuBois

Rensselaer – Albert E. DuBois passed away peacefully on November 23, 2022, after a brief illness.  Born on September 26, 1933, he was a lifelong resident of Rensselaer, NY.  He is survived by his wife and best friend for nearly 68 years (December 12, 1954), Dorothy Ann Gray DuBois, his daughter, Karen A. Collins (Ronald), two cherished grandsons, Timothy and Kevin Boyle (Sydney), brother, Alvin W. DuBois (Joyce), brother-in-law, Charles W. Gray (Carolyn) and sister, Patricia Chartrand.  He is predeceased by his parents, Rachel Monroe Snyder and William Snyder, his daughter, Linda M. DuBois, sisters, Joan DuBois, and Kate DuBois Lafore.

Albert served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957, serving 18 months in Germany.  He was a member for 62 years and a past master of the Van Rensselaer F & AM Masonic Lodge and member of the National Association of Letter Carriers.   He retired in 1991 from the Rensselaer NY Post Office, with 33 years of service.  He enjoyed bowling, golfing, NY Yankees and wintering in Bradenton, FL.  At his request there will be no viewing hours and the funeral will be private at the convenience of the family.  Contributions in his memory may be sent to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
