Obituary of Joan L. Boulé

Rensselaer-Joan Lorraine Boulé, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2022, with her loving family by her side.  Joanie resided on 9th Street in Rensselaer for over six decades; adoring her neighbors as they did her.

Joanie was the beloved wife of the late Robert Orville Boulé.  She devoted her life to her husband and her three beautiful children, Robert Boulé (Celine), and Cathy Boulé (David Filkoski) and Janet Browe (predeceased by her husband, David Browe).  Joanie is also survived by her former daughter in law Deborah Reimann, who loved her dearly. 

Joanie’s heart will always be with her grandson, Shawn Boulé (Sarah) and her two precious great granddaughters, Addyson and Skylar.

Joanie was a big advocate for the Silver Sneakers exercise program, extending her participation into her middle eighties at the East Greenbush YMCA.  She was a bit of a rock star there, where people admired her dedication and regiment, as well as, her bouncy, sunny disposition.  Joanie made wonderful friendships there that lasted her entire life.

Family and friends are invited and may call on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 4:00pm-6:00pm at W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday September 19, 2022 at 10:00am at W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, NY. Interment to immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
