James Lanzilotti

Obituary of James D. Lanzilotti

Please share a memory of James to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Troy-James Lanzilotti, age 87, formerly of Troy, passed away August 31, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. James started his own business at the age of 16 and was the sole owner of “Jim’s Quick Shoe Repair”. He was a pillar of the community and his years in business brought him many friendships. Jim was an avid bowler and a die hard Yankee fan. If he wasn’t at the stadium watching a game you could find him in front of the TV rooting for his team. There was nothing Jim wouldn’t do for his family and friends, and he was beloved by all.

Devoted husband of Mary “Connie” (Cummings) Lanzilotti. Father of Patricia Lanzilotti (Steve Smith, Sr.), Mary Lou Carroll, Lisa Zalucki (Paul), and James Lanzilotti (Anita). Cherished grandfather of Tiffany Carroll, Matthew Carroll (Kyrsten), Melissa Phillips (James), Kimberly Carroll, Samantha Stillman (Kip), Andrew, Kyle and Justin Lanzilotti. Brother of Ida Geraci and the late Louise Casullo. He was also the proud grandfather to six great grandchildren-Nevaeh, MacKayla, Noah, Madison, Niko, Mila- and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Jim’s memory will live on in the hearts of all he touched.

Funeral services will be private but for those who wish to acknowledge Jim, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Association by visiting https://act.alz.org/site/SPageServer?pagename=digital_wallet_donations&df_id=32112.
