Troy- Mary L. Clarke Ciprioni died peacefully on March 1, 2022, at Van Rensselaer Manor after a long illness.

Born November 15, 1921. Mary was the second child of Thomas and Emma Clarke of Rensselaer. Mary lived her entire life in the City of Rensselaer and attended Van Rensselaer High School. Mary married Anthony Ciprioni on October 12, 1941, and was married for 61 years. 

Mary worked at Sterling Drug in Rensselaer, Myer’s Department Store in Albany, and for years, she was a baker for the East Greenbush Central School District. Mary was a member of the First Baptist Church for over 100 years having been baptized when she was just six months old.  Mary served the Church on numerous committees, activities and responsibilities throughout the years.  She was also a member of the Senior Citizens of Rensselaer.  Mary enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going shopping and out to lunch.  She and her husband attended many parties and loved to dance the night away. She was a sweet, loving and kind soul who greeted everyone with a smile.

Mary is survived by her daughters Antoinette (Joseph) Cain and Pamela (Joseph) Kinney as well as five grandchildren, Kimberly Gatto, Kyleen (Corey) House, Eric (Jenny) Kinney, Ashley Mary (Chris) Rickert and Liz (James) Lavender. Also survived by her son-in-law Frank C. Knoll and great grandchildren Anthony Kinney, Kathryn Kinney, Madelyn Grace Rickert, Christopher Rickert Jr. and Camryn Scott House. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony E., her daughter Helen Teresa (Teri) Knoll, her siblings Thomas Clarke and Elizabeth O’Hanlon.

Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Saturday March 5 at 12 PM.  All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 10 AM.  Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery, North Greenbush. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church 1101 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, NY 12144.
