Clifton Park- Patricia Ann (Ranellucci) Peller, age 78 passed away Dec. 16, 2021 at Albany Medical Center.  She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Mary T. Carlotti Ranellucci. Patty attended and was known as “Rah Rah” the cheerleader at Van Rensselaer High School, graduating in 1961. She started her career at the New York Telephone Company, later joined the NYS Division of Criminal Justice and retired from the NYS Assembly Office of Minority Leader.  She was a former member of the Country Knolls Women’s Club, the NYS Republican Committee and was an active supporter of the Clifton Park Republican Committee. Patty loved having a good political debate on New York or National politics. She was an avid gardener, having a special place for many hostas and lilies in her extensive gardens at her home. Above all, she loved her family. Her many aunts, uncles, and cousins; including the Carlotti and Ranellucci families of Rensselaer held a dear place in her heart.

Beloved wife of 56 years to Pincus “Pinky” Philip Peller who passed away from a broken heart the following day on Dec. 17th. Loving mother of Stephanie Ann (Kenneth) Freirich of NJ and Joel (Debra) Peller of Lake Placid. Sister of Rosemarie Virgil of Largo, FL, Mary Theresa (Benjamin) Farmer of North Greenbush. Sister-in-law of the late Cecilia Zacklow. Dear aunt of Chelsea Farmer, Beth Virgil, Christopher (Debra) Virgil, Alexander Virgil and Deb Henderson.

Due to the ongoing concerns of the pandemic, the family request only fully vaccinated family and friends pay their respects Monday from 4-6 with a service immediately following at 6PM at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer. Masks will be required, and social distancing will be observed. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.  Contributions in Patricia’s name may be made to Raymond A. Ranellucci, Jr. Veteran Memorial Scholarship Fund VFW Post 8692 C/O Block, Colucci, Spellman and Peller Law Firm, 2276 Saranac Avenue, Lake Placid, NY 12946.
