Obituary of Janice M. Schroll

Janice M. (Sheffer) Schroll of Rensselaer entered into eternal life peacefully on Friday, October 1, 2021.

 

Janice was born to the late Irving and Doris (Walters) Sheffer. Janice married her beloved husband George Schroll in 1955. God blessed them with three children; James (Margaret) Schroll, Barbara Schroll and Deborah (Paul) Pagano.  Janice went to work at NYS Higher Education after raising her children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren; Natalie (Christopher) Ciccrelli, Steven Pagano, Jonathan Schroll, Lindsay (Justin) Wilkinson and Michelle (Garret) Keenan. She was extra blessed with three great granddaughters: Veronica, Jolie and Elody Jan. She was predeceased by her sisters and brothers; Helen (Honey) Vigliotti, Marilyn, Irving, and Donald Sheffer. She is survived by sisters-in-law, Wilma Sheffer and Marilyn Schroll; nieces, nephews and Goddaughter Dawn Treffiletti.

 

Janice was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Rensselaer and Rensselaer Senior Center.

 

A funeral service will be held Friday, October 8, at 11 a.m. in the W.J. Lyons, Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home beginning at 9:30 a.m.  Burial will follow the services in North Chatham Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions in Janice's name to a charity of their choice.
