North Greenbush- Marilyn Rodford Berry passed away on Tuesday July 13, 2021 at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush. She was born in Rensselaer and resided in Rensselaer and Valatie for many years. Mrs. Berry was employed by the New York State Division of Children and Family Services. She was also employed by the Sterling Drug Company. Marilyn had many interests which included bingo, shopping, trips to Maine with friends and creating floral arrangements. She was very caring and understanding to her family. Wife of the late Robert G. Berry Sr., loving companion of the late David J. Mehleisen. Mother of Robert G. Berry, Jr. (Kathy) and the late John “Jack” Berry. Grandmother of Robert G. Berry, III. Great grandmother of Madison and Zachary Berry. Sister of the late Shirley Rodford, William Rodford and Gloria Wick. She also had a brother Stanley Rodford (Ginny). Aunt of Mary Lou Malatesta (Mike) and the late Ronald Rodford. Great aunt of Joan Malatesta Dewitt (Dan), Pamela Alexander (Kevin) and Anthony “AJ” Malatesta (Terri). Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Friday afternoon at 12:30. All are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held Friday prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Disease Association, 4 Pine West Plaza #405 Albany NY 12205.
