Rensselaer- Robert E. Redden, 85, entered eternal rest on December 10, 2020 while in Community Hospice care at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Troy NY, he was the son of the late Edwin and Helen Redden. Robert was the husband of Lucy Redden and stepfather to Scott (Stacie) Laranjo of Averill Park and Lance Laranjo (Julie Gaudette) of Schodack. Robert was the brother of Helen Shumaker of Westchester PA, Donald Redden of Schenectady NY, and the late Edwin, Eugene and Richard Redden, Thomas Malcolm, Ruth Bonkowski and Barbara ( Donald ) VanDerwerken. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sarah and Samantha Laranjo, Lesa, Brandon, Lucas and Tesla Laranjo, as well as several nieces and nephews. Robert was a proud veteran of the US Army and the US Air Force who served during and after the Korean War. Robert loved the USA, his family and friends, golf and old cars. He will certainly be missed by all that knew and loved him. Robert will be laid to rest Friday, December 18, 2020 at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in a private ceremony.
