East Greenbush – Maria N. Quattrocchi age 96, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Frosinone, Italy, she immigrated to the United States in 1971, settling in Rensselaer. She was the wife of the late Gerardo Quattrocchi. Maria was a longtime communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church in Rensselaer where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and St. Anthony Society. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and cooking for her family and friends. Maria is survived by her children, Flora (the late Valentino) Fiacco, Matilde (the late James J.) Mahar, Guido (Maria) and Flavio Quattrocchi; her grandchildren, Valentino, Jr. (Roxanne), Roberto (Candice), Paul (Nicole) and Daniel (Jana) Fiacco, Marina (Brent Gernert) Mahar, Tania (Greg) Tardif, James (Janine) Mahar, Melissa (Christopher) Achille, Danielle (Jay) Fabrizi, Christine (Nick) McKiernan and Heidi and Luca Quattrocchi. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be from St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street Rensselaer, Saturday at 9AM. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, from 4-7 PM. Interment will follow the Mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
