Fultonville- David M. Pierre age 56 passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2018 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. He was born on Aug. 21, 1961 to Theresa Garrett Pierre and Leon Pierre. Dave grew up in Poestenkill and was a graduate of Averill Park High School. He was a former employee of Mohawk Paper Mill in Cohoes. Dave enjoyed spending time on his deck with his fiancée Elizabeth, with his dog Rupert by his side. He loved camping and boating on Lake Champlain and going out on motorcycle rides. He was known for his generosity, contagious laugh, easy going attitude. He cherished spending time with his family and friends. Son of Theresa Garrett Pierre and Leon Pierre. Fiancée of Elizabeth Linehan. Father of Danielle (Adam) Burns and David M. Pierre, Jr. Papa Dave to Cameron Burns, Tessa Burns and Lily Baker. Brother of Thomas (Deena) Pierre, Linda (Roy) Clark, Mark (Lisa) Pierre and Jason (Debbie) Pierre. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer Wednesday at 7 PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday prior to the service from 4-7pm.
