Rensselaer- Margaret A. "Peggy" (Ellrott) Konisky age 83 of Rensselaer passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her residence. Peggy was born in Albany and has been a resident of Rensselaer for over 60 years. Mrs. Konisky was a homemaker and loved polka dancing, shopping, baking, but her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Wife of the late George J. Konisky. Mother of Frank Konisky and Stephen (Amy) Konisky. Grandmother of Hailey and Jacob Konisky. Sister of Teresa (Joe) Scaring, Frank (Debbie) Zalucki and the late Anne Mae Lanchak and Elizabeth Opitz. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass will be offered from Blessed Sacrament Church 607 Central Avenue Albany Saturday morning at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the W.J. Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer, Friday, 5-8pm. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. The family would like to thank St. Peter's Oncology, Rensselaer County Community Hospice and her home health care aides Tateana, Jennifer, Mary, Kelly, Chrystal and Lovie for their care, concern and compassion shown to Peggy.
