Obituary of Lillian M. Dominski

Dominski, Lillian Marie RENSSELAER, 81, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born and raised in Rensselaer, she was a graduate of VRHS. Beloved mother of Jacqueline Coren (Larry), of Chesapeake, VA; Judy Carpentier (Mitch), of Orange, CA; Martin Dominski, Jr. (Patty), of Paso Robles, CA, and step-mother to Jeannette Mercurio, of Castleton, NY and Rita Hoyda (Art), of Anaheim CA. She was the daughter of the late James and Helen Welsh and in addition to her parents was predeceased by her husband Martin "Buddy" Dominski, daughter Sandra Carey, sisters Virginia Welsh and Janet Wagner, and brother Donald Welsh. She was a loving sister to Shirley Connell (James), James Welsh (Jane), Frank Welsh (Helen), Mary Jane LaPorta (Richard) and Helen DiTullio. "Grams" to 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held in her honor on Friday, May 5th, at W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Doors open at 12pm. Service will begin at 1pm. Inurnment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery immediately following. All are welcome to attend.
