North Greenbush-Peter Michael Sweeney, 57, passed away suddenly on Thursday March 23, 2017. Born and raised in Troy, he resided in Wynantskill. Pete currently worked for Hamilton News. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Besides experimenting with new food ideas, his passion was anything involving cars. Pete is survived by his loving wife Laurie; cherished daughters Rebecca (Shane) Bouchard, Jennifer (Corey) Stotts, and Kristen Sweeney; his brother Kevin (Kelley) Sweeney; and his daughter in law Jessica Sweeney. He was the beloved grandfather of Jeffrey Luce; Colin, Miles, and Ethan Bouchard; and Olivia Stotts. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pete was predeceased by his cherished son David, and parents Hazel and Miles.
