Obituary of Raymond F. Paige

Schenectady- Raymond F. "Ronnie" Paige, Jr. age 71 passed away on Wednesday Feb. 1, 2017 due to consequences of a motor vehicle accident. Ronnie was born in Albany, grew up in Rensselaer and has resided in Schenectady since 1976. He was employed by local union #190 working on the South Mall in Albany. He was his family's hero; in 1976 he saved his two daughters and his son from a house fire and suffered from severe burns. Ron was known for his generosity, would help anyone in need and everyone knew him. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, but most of all he loved his family. Beloved husband of 53 years to Susann G. George Paige. Loving father of Tammy M. Winnie, Tina M. (Robert) Adams, James L. (Michele) Paige, Ronald T. Paige and the late Raymond F. Paige, III. Also survived by his brother Terry L. Paige, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Dad always know "We loved you first. " A funeral mass will be at St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church, Herrick Street Rensselaer Monday morning at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Sunday from 1-4 PM. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane Latham, NY 12110.
