Rensselaer- Robin A. Boughton age 52 of Rensselaer passed away on Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Robin was born in Albany on June 5, 1963 and resided most of her life in the city of Rensselaer. She was a teacher's aide in the Rensselaer City School District. Our Robin possessed a heart full of love, kindness and humanity for every living thing. There was not a person, child or animal that did not benefit from her continuous gestures of love and compassion. She taught us all about courage and integrity throughout her life and particularly through her illness. Her legacy continues through her family and all those blessed to have known her. Robin's grace, optimism and honesty has made this world a better place. "Be the change you want to see in the world…Robin was indeed!" Robin is survived by her husband, best friend, soul mate; William Boughton, my love till we meet again. Daughter of Marcia Bailey Rose and the late Arden Rose. Mother of Stephanie Perkins (Nate) and Andrew Boughton. Stepmother of Kelly Boughton (Jesse Griego), Vicky Cunningham (Joe) and Alicia Boughton. Cherished Mimi of Dylan Perkins, Tyler Cunningham, Allison Griego and Emily Griego. Sister of Steven Rose (Amanda) and Marc Rose (Jodi). Daughter-in-law of the late Robert Boughton, Sr. and Dorothy Boughton. Cousin of Lee Goergen, Sr. She is also survived by her special friends Kim and Rick Fusco, her sister-in-law and best friend Alice Boughton and her brothers-in-law Robert Boughton (late Karen) and Willard Boughton (Michele). Robin leaves behind her friends at Van Rensselaer Elementary, many friends and neighbors and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday, Oct. 23rd from 4-7PM. A service and remembrance immediately following at 7PM.
