North Greenbush- Waterbury Sr., Joseph S., age 81, died Friday, December 16, 2016 at his home in North Greenbush. He lived in Rensselaer during his working years and then moved to Poestenkill for 15 years of his retirement to be near his son's in the country. He was the son of the late Joseph S. Waterbury Sr. and the late Anna (Kiernan) Waterbury. He served in the U.S Navy during the Korean Conflict, from 1953-57. He was honorably discharged in 1957 and went to work for Sterling Winthrop where he worked as an electrician for 42 years until his retirement in 1999 at age 64. Survivors include the mother of his children Marge Waterbury, his son's Joseph S. (Sheryl) Waterbury Jr. of Castleton, NY and John J. (Jeanne) Waterbury of Poestenkill, NY., six grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Kelley, Kaitlyn Waterbury, John (Paloma) Waterbury Jr., Allison (Dennis) Loiselle, Jennifer Waterbury, Justin Waterbury and by 3 great grandchildren, Jack and Makenna Kelley and Maggie Loiselle. Also survived by his brother Arthur Waterbury Jr. and predeceased by his sisters Evelyn Waterbury, Mary Fusco, Madeline Fararo, and Teresa Waterbury. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Wed. Dec. 21 from 4-7 Pm. A funeral service will take place a 6PM. All are welcome to attend.
