Rensselaer- James "Jim" J. Deyo, III age 86 passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Jim was born and raised in Albany and was a long time resident of the city of Rensselaer. He was a US Navy Veteran. Jim was an avid gardener and was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church in Rensselaer. He worked many years for TRW as a machine repair technician and after his retirement he worked at Drislane's Olde Wine and Spirits in Albany. He was the son of the late James J. Deyo, Jr. and Cecelia Wilpers Deyo. Husband of the late Isabel "Rae" Deyo and the late Leatrice "Lee" Deyo. Brother of Cecelia Taylor, Mary (Edward) Murray, Veronica Drislane and the late Patrick Deyo. Stepfather of Yvonne (Edward) Fauth, Richard (Elizabeth) Stone, Lauren (Robert) Burke and Janis Gaunay ( Anthony). Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from St. John the Evangelist and St. Joseph Church Herrick Street Friday, October 23 at 11:00 where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselar prior to the mass on Friday morning from 9:30 - 10:30. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush.
