Obituary of Teresa J. Heines

Teresa J Heines, 82, formally of Colonie was called to eternal rest on September 22nd after a long illness. Teresa is the daughter of the late William and Mary Heines, predeceased by her brothers and sisters Alice Gill, Joan Fagen, William Heines, Ford Heines, Elaine Stallworth, Pat Kissane. She is survived by her sister Clara Leville and many nieces and nephews. Teresa retired from NYS Division for Youth, was a published author of mystery novels, and was active in animal welfare organizations. Teresa loved to read and write and had many articles published in magazines. She was an avid skier, tennis player and show horse rider. A private family service was held on September 26th at W.J. Lyons Funeral Home followed by internment at Calvary Cemetery, Bethlehem. The family would like to thank the caregivers at Good Samaritan Nursing Home for the care given to Teresa over the last three and a half years. In memory of Teresa, donations may be made to the Hudson Mohawk Humane Society.
