Troy-Richard L. Johnson age, 65 years, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2016. He was born in Troy and grew up in East Greenbush. Rick was employed as a truck driver for the Teamsters Union. He was an avid NY Yankees fan, loved going to watch the Tri City Valley Cats, enjoyed going to Lebanon Valley Speedway and loved to read. Richard is survived by his wife Catherine; his children Stacey and Carly Johnson and Rebecca (Christopher) Paley. Son of John Stowell, Sr., Leonard (Winnie) Johnson, Sr. and the late Jacqueline Stowell. Brother of Keith and John Stowell, Kathy (Romaine) Corellis, Denise (Anthony) Corellis, Jacky (Art) Lafey and the late Susan Nusbaum. Step-brother of Wendy Harrington, Sherry Patanian, Valerie McMahon and Leonard Johnson, Jr. Also survived by 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday from 4-8 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions in Rick's memory may be made to the Northeast Kidney Foundation 501 New Karner Road Ste. 6 Albany, NY 12205.
