Gregory A. Lever sadly slipped from the bonds of the earth on June 30th, 2016. A graduate of Van Rensselaer High School and Hudson Valley Community College Greg joined the U.S. Coast Guard in 1965 and served active duty for (4) years. While assigned to Coast Guard at LORAN Station, Talampulan, he met and wed the love of his life, Editha. After his discharge from the Coast Guard, he served as an officer of both the Rensselaer Police Department & Albany Police Department, Division II. Upon his retirement from the police force, Greg and his family spent some years at their home in Kissimmee and Key West, Florida. In 1999, he and his wife moved to the Philippines. Greg is predeceased by his parents Shirley & Earle Lever & his brother-in-law Michael Rohloff. He is survived by siblings Michael (Cheryn) Lever, Kathleen (Andy) Crawford & Lois Rohloff. In addition to his wife Editha, he leaves behind his four children Aaron Lever, Anthony (Michelle) Lever, Sonja Lever & Carlos Lever and four grand-daughters. A memorial Mass will be offered at St. Henry's Church, 39 Old Route 66, Averill Park on Mon., Aug. 1st at 11am. All are welcome to attend.
