Rensselaer- Marie L. Bonner 94 of Rensselaer passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Riverside Nursing Home in Castleton. She was born on December 28, 1921 at Paterson, NJ and resided there and in Lakewood, NJ before moving to the Albany area in 1985 to be closer to family. Marie was a high school graduate and worked in retail sales till her marriage to Daniel Bonner on June 27, 1948 after which she was a homemaker. She was a member of the Latham Community Baptist Church, to whom she was very dedicated to and considered the congregation her family. Marie loved to knit, sew and read. She read her Bible daily and lived her life accordingly. Wife of the late Daniel Bonner. Daughter of the late Edwin Knight, Marie Reddersen. Step daughter of the late George Reddersen. Mother of Dianne Marie Lourinia (Louis) and Patricia Eileen Rose (John). Grandmother of John, Jennifer, Christopher and Kelly Rose all from Boston, MA area and Daniel Lourinia of Whitman, MA and Anthony Lourinia of Troy. Marie is also blessed with four great-grandchildren; Cassidy, Christopher, Carter and Liam. A memorial service will be held at a later date and interment will at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Contributions in Marie's memory should be sent to the Latham Community Baptist Church, 109 Forts Ferry Road, Latham, NY 12110. Marie's family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing for the care she received.
