Obituary of Ronald A. Price

Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Side by side: Ronnie & Christina lived their lives. Ronnie was One of 8 children. He loved them & his wife "Chris" with all of his heart. Chris, his brothers and sisters, and their children were the first and central priorities in all of Ronnie's decisions. Ronnie was simply a supportive person. If you needed a wise word of advice or encouragement, a few timely bucks or a crucial & hard to find tool. If you were friend or family, Ronnie was there for you too. Ronnie was a man offering his open hand and a spirit that quickly & powerfully connected with most people. Ronnie touched folks from all walks of life. From the early days of the family auction house, listening to Ronnie's banter could find you paying more than you first intended, but you liked it! Ronnie worked every day of his life, through his 20 + years of owning television repair and used furniture stores & then in his long "retirement" when Ronnie brought together a life time of experience to become an expert "picker". Ronnie was very good at buying and selling for the little extras he and his wife of 46 years needed. He did it with Christine at his side. Ronnie and Chris lived their lives that way, together and as a family. Ronnie lived all over Albany and Rensselaer for nearly 30 years when he owned his TV shop (Dove Street and Jefferson Street). As a family Ronnie, Chris, his daughter Tina, son-in-law Carl and grandchildren Ashlee and Maynard traveled back and forth Florida and living there for several months at a time. Ronnie taught Ashlee and Maynard how to swim in Florida. When his daughter Tina and son-in-law Carl bought their home in Rensselaer (that Ronnie originally found for the family back in 2000), Ronnie and Christina moved back in, living as one big family for the last 15 years. Ronnie spent quality time enjoying life and family. So many years passed in a wink. Gatherings at home or taking a drive to Pat and "Neisy" Denise's house in the hill country or gathering on the river side with "Bubba and Penny's" beautiful family or taking a ride out to Pauly's place to visit with his kid brother and maybe sell a few items... anywhere he came together with family. That was where Ronnie was happiest. There or making a deal. When both can happen? That is Ronnie's version of a super good time, and then some! Because... Ronnie loved to make deals. Anyone who knew him has a memento or two around if they look closely. We all bought something, the Price was Right! Many will miss Ronnie Price. Ronnie's wife Chris (81) survives him and she will carry his precious memory in her heart at the family's home in Rensselaer. Friends and family are welcome to call on her, visit often. Ronnie would have liked that. "He meant so many things to so many people who have posted on social media about him. So many alive who will tell stories that are so meaningful that they could bring tears to your eyes and share memories of a man who was so strong, so intelligent, so funny, and who saw the best in everyone. He will never truly be gone, he lives on through us and in all those little moments that I know personally I (we) could never forget. He could put a smile on anyone's face. An incredible man and I am so thankful for every precious little moment I spent with him. He will always be missed and never forgotten. I love you so much grandpa". ~Tabby Spouse: of 46 years Christina Price Children: Patrick and Denise Miller, Robert (Bubba) and Penny Price, Tina and Carl Gottstein.
