Schenectady- Marie G. Squillari age 75 years of Schenectady passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. She was born in Brooklyn, moved to East Nassau where she raised six children. She resided in Las Vegas, NV for a short while before moving back to the capital region for the remainder of her life. Marie loved to spend time with family, cooking, crocheting, going to bingo and the casino. Wife of the late Ronald Squillari, Sr. Daughter of the late John and Evelyn Ortega. Mother of Evelyn (James) Perone, Patricia (Robert) Ody, Linda Coons, Michael Squillari, Wendy (Michael) Davis and the late Ronald Squillari, Jr. Grandmother of Crystal (Louis) Polsinello, William Rue IV, Alisha Perone, Christine Coons, Tiffany Coons, Jessica Coons, Amanda Squillari, Christopher Squillari, James Coons, John Squillari, Megan Squillari, Andrew Squillari and Angelina Davis. Funeral from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Saturday at 12:30 PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 10:30 AM - 12:30PM. Burial will be in St. Henry's Cemetery, Averill Park. The family would like to make a special thank you to the Capital Living Rehab Center for their care, concern and compassion shown to mom over the last few years.
