Schenectady- Paul Ryan 78 of Schenectady, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2018 at Daughters of Sarah Nursing Home after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Paul was retired from the Port of Albany and the City of Albany. Paul was the husband of Marie (Brown) Ryan. Born in Albany to the late George and Irene Ryan. Paul will be forever remembered as a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. Father to Tina Martino (Rick). He was predeceased by his first wife Berta Ryan and two sons Paul Ryan and Shawn Ryan (Cindy). Stepfather to Holly Eggleston and Melissa Dubuque. Paul was survived by his brother Leslie Ryan (Kevin) and sisters Delores Whitten, Kaye Jones and Janice Phillips (Ted). Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer, Monday at 1PM. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call to the funeral home prior to the service from 10-1PM. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
