William J. Hogle

East Greenbush- William J. Hogle passed away peacefully on Sunday August 8th, 2021 surrounded by his family at the age of 88. He was born in Rensselaer to the late John and Helen Hogle.William resided in the East Greenbush area for most of his life and was a self-employed owner and operator of Hogle Trucking. He proudly served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Gerald O’Neil American Legion Post #1683.William had many interests including traveling to Florida, going to Salisbury Beach, working in his garden, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His presence and memory will always be felt by those who loved him and spent time with him “on the rocks” at Salisbury Beach.William is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Patricia M. Hogle. He is also survived by his children, Deborah Cunningham, Marjorie Senecal, and Sharon (Patrick) Kenneally; his siblings, Jean Schouten, Mary Jenkins, Betty Bonner, Diane (Guy) Johnson, and Christine Heintz; his grandchildren, Todd Senecal, Douglas Senecal, Meredith Kenneally, Brad Kenneally, and Matthew Kenneally; his great-grandchildren, John Senecal, Jaxson Senecal, and Jennifer Senecal; and his very special niece, Donna Young. He was predeceased by his siblings John Hogle, Robert Hogle, and Joyce Reinhart. There will be a funeral service for William on Thursday, August 12th at 10:00AM at W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home located at 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer NY 12144. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday, August 11th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Concerns-U at 50 Herrick St, Rensselaer, NY 12144.
