Rensselaer- Virginia A. Vallee, age 86, was born in Rensselaer on June 21, 1935 to the late Angelo and Mamie A. Polsinello, and passed away in Albany on June 23, 2021. She was born and raised in Rensselaer, and resided in East Greenbush for many years before recently moving to the Atria Shaker. Virginia was a graduate of Rensselaer High School and later, along with her husband Patrick, became the owner of Angelo’s Submarines in Albany for 25 years; after which time she was employed by Polsinello Fuels for over 20 years. She was a member of the St. Anthony Society and the East Greenbush Garden Club. Virginia was a kind and loving person who positively impacted everyone she met. She loved children, flowers, creating a beautiful home, and feeding her family her delicious Italian cooking. She was a very special person and lavished her love on her family who adored her. Virginia was predeceased by her brother Louis Polsinello, Sr., her older sister Virginia Polsinello the first who passed away as an infant, and her beloved son-in-law, Richard Colbert. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Patrick J. Vallee; her children Patricia J. Colbert (life partner William Oryell) and Carol (Edward) Mackey; her sister Joan Kaiser; her grandchildren Tammy Stewart (Ernest), Leanne Cooke, Nicholas Colbert (Kayla), Amanda Mackey, Alison Johnston, Maria Colbert, Ashley Mackey, Amy Valerio (William), and Meghan Mackey. Also survived by her great grandchildren, Rachel Van Vorst, Shannon LaBarre, Jazzalee Valerio, Annalee Valerio, Nehemiah Stewart, Liam Valerio, Zechariah Stewart and Alibhe Mae O'Loughlin. A memorial mass will be offered for Virginia and Patrick’s family and friends Tuesday, June 29 at 9:30 AM in the Church of St. Mary at Clinton Heights Columbia Turnpike, East Greenbush. Interment will follow the mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
