Trista Memmerth

Trista G. Memmerth, age 36, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. She was born in Albany and raised in Troy by her loving parents, the late Kurt and Jacqueline Memmerth (survives).

Trista attended Troy High School and later went on to work at the Department of Labor, the Division of Criminal Justice Services as well as the NYS Department of Tax and Finance. She was currently enrolled in SUNY Schenectady and was only a few credits shy of earning her accounting degree, before becoming sick.

Trista will be remembered as a very passionate mother, who lived for her children. She loved spending time at Wildwood in New Jersey and Lake George. She would spend many Sundays watching the NY Jets, and Food Network channel shows like Beat Bobby Flay and Holiday Baking Championship and cooking for her family. Her favorite time of year was fall, when she could apple pick and attend fall fairs.

Trista leaves behind her beloved husband, Gregory Mosca and her adored children, Gregory Jr., Gianna and Giovanni. She was the sister of Terrence (Nikki Emery) Memmerth, Julia (Memmerth) Herrington and Karla (Memmerth) Diaz. Aunt to Abel and Carter Memmerth, Tyler Herrington, Michael Russell, James Canavan, Juliana and Jayla Henderson, and Santino Mosca. She also leaves Greg Mosca's family, and her dearest friends, Sarah Santinello and Ashley Benedict.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish (formally, St. John St. Ann's), 95 Fourth Avenue, Albany. Family and friends are invited and may visit with the family on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 4-7pm at the W.J. Lyons Jr., Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Renssealer. Interment will follow the Mass, in Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
