Troy-Timothy T. Burnham, age 62 years passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 at his residence. He resided at the Cottage Street Apartments in Troy and previously in Averill Park. Tim was known as a family man, his charming smile and was a great storyteller. He had a big heart and was loved by his family. He was a lover of all mankind and animals. He loved to read and was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending his time in nature but his biggest joy was his grandson Thorn. Son of the late David Blin Fuller Burnham and Marijean Burnham Reynolds. Husband of 45 years to Leslie Burnham. Father of Timothy Burnham. Grandfather of Thorn Burnham. Brother of Stephen Burnham and Christine E. (Robert) Lock. Uncle of Jeremy, Jason and Justin Lock and Jamie Ohlson and Melinda Rose Burnham. Also survived by great nieces and nephews and many cousins. The family would like to thank all their family and friends for the care concern and compassion shown at this difficult time. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Friday at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home prior to the service from 5-7 p.m. Contributions in Tim's memory may be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204.
