Sylvia Ventura

West Sand Lake-Sylvia D. Noga Ventura age, 101 years, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Van Rensselaer Manor. She was born in Adams, MA and was a longtime resident of Whitesboro, NY, before moving to West Sand Lake with her daughter and family in 2005. Sylvia was an accomplished seamstress and sales person. Wife of the late John A. Ventura; daughter of the late Joseph and Jadwiga Pysdka Noga; mother of Lisa (Patrick) Ventura-Bryant of West Sand Lake and Gina (Byron) Conner, Jr. of Dade City, Fla; grandmother of Patrick J. Bryant, Kerry (Travis) Sheldon, Neil (Sara) Bryant, Erin (Yevgeny) Ruzhitsky, Patrick M. Cushman, Jr. and Lauren (Christopher) Wheatley; great-grandmother of Quinn, Declan, Maire, Nikolai, Oliver, Alexander, Carson and Alaina; sister of the late Frank and Stanley Noga. The family would like to thank the staff at the Van Rensselaer Manor for the care, concern and support shown to Sylvia. Funeral will be from the W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Monday morning at 10:30 and 11:00 at St. Henry's Church Averill Park where the Liturgy of Christian Death and Burial will be offered. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home prior to the funeral mass from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Interment will follow mass in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Whitesboro, NY.
