Susan M. White

North Greenbush- Susan M. White, 64, passed peacefully in her North Greenbush, New York home on December 1, 2023, surrounded by her immediate family. Born in Huntington, New York, she attended Holy Family High School and graduated with a BA from SUNY Geneseo. After college, Susan lived in Stony Brook, NY, and worked her entire 31-year career at Stony Brook University. She is survived by her husband, Andrew and her children Michael and Lauren and their spouses Owen and Kevin. Susan enjoyed traveling, hiking, gardening, and above all spending time with her loved ones. She was a unique individual, inspiring everyone she met through her extraordinary spirit and strength, optimism, infectious laugh, compassion, generosity, and kindness. Few people faced the challenges that life brought her, valiantly defeating cancer numerous times throughout her life. She often paid it forward by volunteering to help others battling this horrible disease. Words cannot express the gravity of her loss to all who knew her. She will be remembered and celebrated in the hearts of every life she touched. A funeral service will be held at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY at 6pm on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. Relatives and friends are invited prior to the service from 4-6pm.
