Squire Rumney

Rensselaer- Squire Rumney, III age 73 of Rensselaer passed away at his residence Saturday Sept. 16, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Rensselaer. Squire was a 1962 graduate of Van Rensselaer High School and a 1966 graduate of Cornell University. He retired after 25 years from CK Supply Co. (Van Patten Construction in Clifton Park). He enjoyed computers, reading and wood working. Husband of 50 years to Donna L. Cooke Rumney. Father of Shannon Rumney (Craig) Willis and the late Squire Rumney, IV. Grandfather of Abby and Emma Rumney. Brother of the late Mary Rumney (Victor) Vrigian. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral from W.J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Friday at 9 Am and 10 Am at The Church of the Redeemer Third Street Rensselaer where the mass of Christian Burial will be offered. Calling hours will be held Thursday at the funeral home from 4-7 PM. Interment will be at New Rural Cemetery East Greenbush. In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to a charity of ones choice.
