Shirley Hermance

Rensselaer- Shirley A. Hamm Hermance age 89 yrs, of Rensselaer passed away on Thursday April 20, 2017 at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush. She was born and raised in Troy, graduating from Catholic Central High School, and after her marriage lived most of her life in Rensselaer. Mrs. Hermance was a home maker and enjoyed reading the newspaper cover to cover, soap operas, working on jumble puzzles and the Boston Red Sox. Wife of the late Henry O. Hermance. Mother of Stephen (Penny) Hermance and Gail C. Hermance. Grandmother of Abigail (Michael) Slatterly and Sarah (Sal) Roblez. Sister of the late Marilyn Hamm and George (Rita) Hamm, Sr. Aunt of Kenneth (Liz) Bloomer, George (Gaby) Hamm, Jr. and Kelly Hamm (Mark Cusack). Also survived by 3 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no evening calling hours. Interment will be in Bloomingrove Cemetery Defreestville.
