Averill Park – Sheran Lee Wright, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Sheran was born in Conroe, TX, the daughter of late Hinson M. Barfield and Helen “Patricia” Combs. Sheran was the embodiment of love. She gave it freely and without reservation. Everyone blessed to have known her, felt the genuine kindness and caring of her generous spirit. She was a devoted Christian her entire life and was an active member of the Life In Christ Fellowship Church, where she shared her love of the Lord with her brothers and sisters of faith. Children were Sheran’s greatest passion in life. She loved to engage with young people and devoted herself to their physical, mental and spiritual care in various roles throughout her life, such as time spent with the Head Start program in Providence, RI, as a bible school teacher, and employee of the Averill Park School District. She was a lioness with her own children. She was protective, nurturing, encouraging and inspirational to her loving sons. Sheran’s love of children was boundless and provided her great joy and happiness, none more so than that which she bestowed upon her grandchildren, whom she doted on and adored. In addition to her parents, Sheran was predeceased by her brother Larry G. Barfield. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years Robert J. Wright; her sons, Robert J. Wright, Jr. (Joelle), Justin M. Wright (Meghan Fitzpatrick); her brothers, Stephen R. Barfield, Forrest Hollaway, Shack Halloway; her sister, Kathy M. Gibson, and granddaughters, Monica J. Shultz (Brian), Haley M. Wright, Alexis L. Wright. A memorial ceremony will be held at W.J.
