Sharon M. Sample

Rensselaer – Sharon M. (Roach) Sample, 78, died on Monday, December 28, 2020 following an illness at Evergreen Nursing Home in East Greenbush. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna (Danish) Roach. Sharon had happy memories of time spent in Old Orchard Beach, Maine with her parents and family. She graduated from Van Rensselaer High School. Sharon worked and retired from Dept. of Public Service. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time at the family camp in Schroon Lake, traveling, going on casino bus trips and doing volunteer work especially at Concerns-U in Rensselaer. Sharon was predeceased by her husband James W. Sample. She is survived by her daughter Susanne Sample-Brown; her grandsons, Geoffrey (Isis) Sample and Preslee (Sarah) Brown; her great-grandchildren, Lynx, Hunter and Mason. She is also survived by her sister Susan Aleschus and niece Shanna Fitzpatrick including her husband Kevin and daughters Amanda and Hannah.
