Sharon L. Cicero

Rensselaer – Sharon L. Cicero (Aggen), 73, passed away suddenly in her home with family by her side on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

Sharon was born on September 30, 1950 in Schenectady, to the late Martin and Norma (Crowningshield) Aggen, Sr. Along with her parents, Sharon is now reunited in Heaven with her brother, Martin Aggen, Jr. and granddaughter, Alessia Galarneau.

Sharon attended Mount Pleasant High School in Schenectady and was a lifelong resident of the capital district. She was a stay-at-home mom and later worked at various jobs. She was a Cafeteria Aide at Public School #19 where her children attended, Administrative Assistant in Albany Medical Center, and was also certified as a Gemologist, which she was very proud of.

Sharon was a very loving and caring person who dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren. She loved her family, crafting, her religion, listening to music, and coffee with French vanilla creamer.

Sharon is survived by her lifelong companion Luigi Cicero. Loving mother of Roberta Fahd (Charles Datino), Christina Galarneau (Scott), Loredana Cicero, and Luigi A. Cicero (Leah Tourt). She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Antoneo Cicero, Giada Galarneau, Darian Galarneau, Giovanni Cicero, and Luciano Cicero and her siblings, Robert Aggen (Gail), and Aileen Hood (Barry) and her nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue, Rensselaer, Monday, November 6, 2023 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Funeral will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 10 am. Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie.
