Scott Owens

East Greenbush- Scott T. Owens age 49 yrs. of East Greenbush passed away on Saturday Sept. 23, 2017. He was born in Albany and has lived in East Greenbush for most of his life. Scott was a US Army Veteran and was employed for Intermagnetics, Sprint, Time Warner Cable and as an IT Engineer Manager at Integra Optics. He enjoyed soccer and was the proud founder of the FC Empire Soccer League in East Greenbush. Husband of Jinshu Yu Owens. Proud father of Ailida Owens. Son of Bonnie Flierl (Howard) and the late Thomas Owens. Brother of Sean Owens (Lynn), Stephannie Gatzendorfer, Dawn Covell (Ed) and Terri Harrington (Steve). Uncle of Chelsea Latulip (Dominic), Cody Gatzendorfer, Sadia Chaudhry, Kaeli Owens, Ellie Owens, Jacob Owens, Kristen Gaba, Heather Gaba, Kendra Hennessey (Adam), Laurel Whalen and McKayla Whalen. Great uncle of Calli Latulip. Nephew of Catherine Arduini, Sister Mary Ellen Owens, RSM, John Owens (Coleen), Arden Leonehi (Pat), Alden Sproul (Susan), Jennifer Sproul (Raymond) and Shelly Ide. Also survived by many cousins. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Thursday morning at 9:00 all are welcome to attend. Calling hours will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery East Greenbush.
