East Greenbush- Rosemary Brooking Donlon age 88, of East Greenbush passed away on Thursday May 11, 2017. She was born in Albany and lived in Rensselaer for most of her life before moving to East Greenbush over 20 years ago. Rosemary was employed as a factory worker for Albany International as a weaver and then ended her career there as a clerk in that same department. She also worked as a nurse's aide at Van Rensselaer Manor in North Greenbush for many years. Wife of the late Ed "PaPa" Donlon. Mother of Linda J. Teal (Allan), Donald George (Martha) and the late Richard E. George, Sr. Mother-in-law of Mary George. Sister of Nancy Richardson and the late Earl Brooking and Pearl O'Brien. Grandmother of Shelley Servidone (Mark), Amy George (Willow Baer), Debbie Tedford, Tricia George (Meghan Devine), Kerry George, Amanda Anderson (Shane), Erica George and the late Richard E. George, Jr. Also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral from the W. J. Lyons Funeral Home 1700 Washington Avenue Rensselaer Tuesday morning at 9:00 and 10:00 at St. Francis of Assisi South End Church in Albany. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will be at New Rural Cemetery East Greenbush. Contributions in her memory may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, 295 Valley View Blvd. Rensselaer, NY 12144.
