COLONIE - Robert "Bobby" J. Poulin, passed away too soon surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. Bobby was 61. He was the son of the late Raymond M. and Anita E. (Perez) Poulin and loving brother of the late Rita M. Poulin. Bobby was a hardworking and determined employee of the Office of General Services of NYS for over 27 years before his early retirement. Above all Bobby loved nothing more than to hunt, fish, camp, boat, grill, cook, listen to music (especially live) and root for the Baltimore Orioles and Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his devoted brother Raymond J. Poulin; steadfast sister-in-law Patricia M. Poulin and adoring niece Jessika M. Poulin. He is also by several undoubtedly loving cousins (especially Jimbo and Ritchie), aunts, uncles, friends, colleagues and adopted siblings (especially Desmond "Desi" Gilroy and the guys). Bobby's family would like to thank the Hospice staff for the care and comfort they provided him. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Bobby's honor may be generously made to The Community Hospice Foundation, Gift Processing Center, 310 S. Manning Blvd., Albany, NY 12208. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 9am in the W.J. Lyons, Jr. Funeral Home, 1700 Washington Ave., Rensselaer. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home on Friday, from 4 to 7pm. Interment will follow the funeral service in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
